A real experience is the fish auction at the local fish market, where fishing boats arrive one after the other with their holds full.<\/p><p>However, it is also a particularly lively city, due to its commercial activities and the 3,500 university students. It is ideal for culinary delights and nightlife with a multitude of shops for all tastes, close to the coastal zone and the wider shopping center.<\/p><p>In addition to the coastal avenue, in Mitropoleos Square you can admire the buildings that surround it, as well as the impressive church of Agios Nikolaos. The first residents, sailors by profession, built the church to honor their patron saint.
